Failed Batches

Every batch that fails testing is documented here, including the reason it failed and what we did with it. We publish failures because trust isn't trust unless it survives bad news.

  • No failed batches on record.

Process

How Verification Works

Nine steps. Every batch. No exceptions.

  1. Step 01

    Supplier Selection

Suppliers are vetted on track record, manufacturing controls, and a willingness to be tested.

  2. Step 02

    Incoming Inspection

Every shipment is physically inspected before it touches inventory.

  3. Step 03

    Batch Logging

A unique batch number is issued and tied to supplier lot, arrival date, and chain of custody.

  4. Step 04

    Photography

Arrival, kits, vials, labels, and packaging are photographed at high resolution.

  5. Step 05

    Third-Party Testing

Samples are sent to an independent analytical lab. We do not test ourselves.

  6. Step 06

    Documentation

COAs and original lab reports are archived publicly and permanently.

  7. Step 07

    Verification

Pass/fail is set from lab results, not from internal opinion.

  8. Step 08

    Inventory Release

Only verified batches are released. Failures are destroyed, rejected, or returned and published.

  9. Step 09

    Customer Verification

Every batch has a public verification page — search by batch number to confirm.

Verification Standards & Transparency

This page is maintained by Grey Harbor to answer common questions about how we verify what we sell. It is editable content, not third-party certification.

Verification Standards

  • • HPLC purity testing, minimum 98%.
  • • Mass spectrometry identity confirmation.
  • • Mass verification by gravimetric analysis.
  • • USP endotoxin testing where applicable.
  • • All testing performed by an independent third-party laboratory.

Testing Partners

We primarily use Janoshik Analytical for HPLC purity and mass spec identity. Every report is hosted by the laboratory and is independently verifiable from the batch verification page.

Archive Access

Every batch, passed or failed, is part of the public testing archive. Failures are documented under Failed Batches.

Public Transparency Policy

Verification records, COAs, photography, and lab reports are public by default. Nothing about verification is gated behind a login or membership. If something is missing or unclear, contact us, we will publish the answer.
